In 2016, we established Koi Apna Sa Ho foundation, with the aim of thalassemia free chhattisgarh, at in the initial step we only started counselling center.
At the time of CORONA PANDEMIC, when no hospital was allowing outside patients to transfuse blood to thalassemia patients , then at that time we understood the pain of thalassemia patients as our NGO name Koi Apna Sa Ho , all patients are our own . With in few days of time we collected all necessary equipments and started DAY CARE CENTER .

My Journey : “From Thalassemia Mother to Founder Of KASH Foundation”
Our founder, Kajal Sachdev, and Director Suresh Sachdev’s son, Suransh Sachdev, was born with thalassemia Major, which required him to undergo blood transfusions every 15 days since birth. Unfortunately, no one in their family was a bone marrow match for Suransh. This situation left Kajal Sachdev feeling extremely sad for a long period of time. However, she eventually made the decision to help other underprivileged children in similar situations.
Kajal Sachdev reached out to prominent doctors and organized medical camps at various locations. She also diligently arranged funds to support the medical needs of these financially disadvantaged children. This compassionate initiative led to the establishment of the KASH Foundation. Throughout this journey, Kajal’s husband, Mr. Suresh Sachdev, has been incredibly supportive of her endeavors.
Furthermore, Mr. Sandeep Kukreja joined the foundation as its Secretary, further bolstering its mission and impact. Today, the KASH Foundation proudly serves over 460 thalassemic children in Chhattisgarh, providing them with necessary support and medical care.
Mr. Suresh Sachdev played an important role in creating KASH Foundation. KASH Foundation is a charitable organization that helps people in need. Mr. Sachdev did a lot of work to make KASH Foundation a reality. Thanks to him, many people have received help from KASH Foundation.
Mr. Suresh Sachdev, the Director of the KASH Foundation and the father of Suransh Sachdev, played a vital role in establishing the foundation. As a parent of a child with thalassemia, Suresh Sachdev understood the importance of the cause and made the decision to help other children who were suffering from thalassemia, leukemia, and sickle cell anemia. Suresh supported his wife, Kajal Sachdev, throughout this journey. He was not only a constant source of motivation and moral support, but also a caring and loving father to Suransh.
Role of Sandeep Kukreja in establishing KASH
Sandeep’s involvement in the KASH Foundation has been instrumental. He has played a key role in organizing various events such as blood donation drives, thalassemia awareness camps, and HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigen) camps, which are essential for finding suitable bone marrow matches. His technical expertise and dedication have greatly contributed to the success of the foundation’s initiatives
Sandeep Kukreja is the Secretary of the KASH Foundation and himself a thalassemia major. He has been a profound technical supporter of the foundation, leveraging his qualification as a Master of Computer Application. Sandeep’s personal experience with thalassemia major, suffering from it since birth, inspired him to join forces with Mrs. Kajal Sachdev in her noble cause.
Their first encounter took place at a thalassemia check-up camp, where Sandeep realized that he did not have a bone marrow match among his siblings. Motivated by Mrs. Kajal Sachdev’s remarkable work for the society, Sandeep decided to contribute to the cause. Mrs. Kajal Sachdev provided him with a sense of hope and played an important role in providing moral support.
